S.S. HANAMI is giving away a free song to commemorate today being the Five-Year Anniversary of our first show (September 5, 2009 at Chibi Pa). Thank you Jason and Lynn for inviting us to perform that year. The band came together as a result of that weekend — it was literally life-changing.
The song is called No Means Yes, but before anyone asks about the title… it’s about predator/prey relationships, and the power dynamic within those relations. It’s also a break-up song, among other things. You can read the lyrics on the page where you download the song. It starts off as a slower song – lonely and contemplative.
